Before you accept anything, this site sets no cookies at all. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts. That is not a marketing line — the tags are not requested until you say yes.

Before you consent

One item is stored in your browser's local storage — not a cookie — under the key wv-consent. It records nothing but the word "granted" or "denied", so the banner doesn't ask you the same question on every page. It contains no identifier and is never sent to a server. If you clear your browser storage, it disappears and the banner returns.

After you accept

Accepting loads Google Tag Manager (container GTM-T49JC5Q), which loads Google Analytics 4. That sets the following cookies:

  • _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_<container-id> — keeps the session state for GA4. Expires after 2 years.

These are first-party analytics cookies. They tell me which pages people actually read and which ones are dead weight. They are not used for advertising, and there are no remarketing or conversion pixels on this website.

If you decline

Nothing loads. Google Consent Mode stays at its default of denied for analytics, advertising, personalisation and functionality storage, and the Tag Manager script is never fetched. The site works exactly the same — you just stay invisible in the statistics.

Cookies I do not use

  • No advertising or remarketing cookies.
  • No social media pixels or embedded trackers.
  • No A/B testing, heatmap or session recording tools.
  • No third-party fonts — the typeface is served from this domain.

Blocking cookies yourself

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site through its settings. Doing so has no effect on how this website works. Google also publishes an Analytics opt-out browser add-on if you would rather block it everywhere at once.
