SEO for webshops

The unglamorous half: crawlability, category structure, internal links and pages that answer the question someone actually typed. It compounds slowly and then keeps paying long after the invoice.

project

Most often a one-off audit with a prioritised backlog, then a few days a month to work through it with your developer.

How I work — in order

  1. Crawl and measure

Screaming Frog against Search Console and your logs. Facts before opinions.

  2. Fix the foundations

Indexation, duplication, facets, speed. No content plan survives a broken crawl.

  3. Structure before volume

Categories and internal links that route authority where the money is, before writing a word.

  4. Report what happened

Rankings and revenue side by side, with the work that caused the move.

What you get

  • A prioritised backlog, ordered by effort against expected impact
  • Tickets your developer can pick up without a translation layer
  • An internal linking model that survives new categories
  • Full ownership: your site, your documentation

What I need from you

  • Search Console, analytics and CMS access
  • A developer, or budget for one, to ship the fixes
  • Your commercial priorities — which categories actually make money
  • Patience: this channel answers in months, not weeks

Fair questions

About SEO specifically.

How long before I see anything?

Technical fixes can show inside weeks. Structure and content take three to six months to settle. Anyone promising faster is either lucky or selling you something.

Do you build links?

I don’t buy them. I’ll tell you where digital PR or a partnership makes sense, but the work I do is on your own site — because that’s the part you keep.

Do you write the content?

I write the briefs: the query, the angle, the structure, the internal links in and out. Your copywriter or I can write the page itself — say which you prefer.

Traffic flat despite the content you keep publishing?

Usually structure, not volume. Mail me the domain and I’ll tell you which one it is.
